I'm not a big fan of IBP but it looks OK. I think you have too many categories to start off with... I would suggest getting rid of some until the forum grows more.

Forums can be very difficult to start.

1) join similar forums... put your site in your SIG... be very helpful and it will attrack others to join your forum.

2) PPC

3) Work on smaller KW's for your SEO.

4) sponsor similar forums

Forums can take several years just to get going... so you will have to stick with if you really want to see results.
