I don't think that you could be the only one to see anything at anytime for any reason. I guess there would have to be examples because I don't have any. If it's not posted elsewhere, maybe you could post it here.

I read a bit and haven't seen a whole lot of even decent speculation.

I have to agree that links rule for ranking well. get lots of inbound links with your keywords in the anchor text. I think keyword stuffing will help untill yahoo finds it and slaps a penalty on the site.
